Atlantic Coast Botanicals is a leader in shipping quality interior foliage, flowering trees and fern baskets throughout North America. The company was founded in 2007 by Howard Meltzer when he identified a need in the industry for a more high-touch approach in dealing with both customers and growers. From selecting the best plants at the right price to shipping those plants safely and efficiently, ACB serves as its customers’ ‘eyes.’ It is ACB’s mission to foster and maintain good relationships with the very best growers throughout the state of Florida so it can deliver only the best product to its customers, including wholesale florists, independent garden centers and interiorscapers. Howard Meltzer
President
Howard Meltzer is the president and founder of Atlantic Coast Botanicals. He grew up around plants, and his career in horticulture began in 1979 with his first job at National Nurseries, Ltd. Howard has positioned Atlantic Coast to be a leader in the industry by taking a “hands on” approach, both in procuring and shipping plants to his clients. He uses only the best growers in Florida and, along with his associates, prowls packing houses to ensure they choose only the best of the best. Howard also is a passionate believer in the value of community service, participating for years in various community and civic organizations. Currently, he is serving as the Chair of the Senior Advisory Board in Cooper City, Florida. He also volunteers with the city’s Seniors vs. Crime. Howard was born in New Jersey and moved to Cooper City, Florida, when he was 15. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University. When he’s not working or volunteering, he loves to spend time with his wife, two daughters, and four golden retrievers.Nikki Torres
Office Manager
Nikki Torres is the Office Manager of Atlantic Coast Botanicals. Nikki not only understands every aspect of the plant business, having worked in it for years, she also interacts regularly with both customers and growers. Like Howard, she is committed to providing the highest level of service to the company’s vendors and customers. Nikki is a native of Homestead, Florida, and a graduate of South Dade High School. In her spare time, she loves to spend time at the beach, either surfside or in a boat on the water. Nikki lives with her family in Homestead, which includes her husband, two children and five dogs.
